Job summary

Manipal Natural Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks an experienced phytochemistry leader to drive end-to-end R&D operations, focusing on efficiency, infrastructure, and personnel management.

The role involves overseeing scientific deliverables, literature reviews, formulation and product development cycles, and budget-conscious planning while coordinating with DSIR and ensuring quality-system compliance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to manage all key aspects of the phytochemistry research and development operations, including operational efficiency, infrastructure, and personnel.
• To ensure efficient running of the division, and overseeing scientific deliverables
• Responsible for end-to-end phytochemistry operations to enhance quality of work and productivity.
• Monitor Literature & Market survey for formulation, Design of experiments, formulation and product development.
• Initial formula finalization for costing and Material planning.
• Develop, analyze, and improve new strategies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the phytochemical research.
• Identify the issues of concern, as well as possible solutions, especially regarding improvement of technical capability, morale, and productivity of the scientists.
• Take an active role in recruitment of members into key positions across Development sub-functions.
• Ensure timely goal setting, monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to team members.
• Retention of high performers and identification of critical roles and succession plan, oversee capability building for the team, mentor and groom critical talent.
• Review operating costs and ensure to manage as per budgets through resource optimization.
• Responsible for compliance to all the relevant quality systems.
• Project writing and execution within Government Department.
• Coordination with Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) for R&D related works
