Job summary

CJS Specialty Chemicals in Mumbai seeks an experienced RnD Manager to drive the development of personal care formulations aligned with market and customer demand. The role requires coordinating trials, visits, and documentation while ensuring product efficacy and regulatory compliance.

You will manage sampling, maintain records, and lead training for the team and suppliers, with travel as needed to close pipelines and generate new leads. A strong focus on TSR and commercialization is essential.

Job Summary:

RnD of new formulations:

RnD Manager should be primarily involved in development of new Personal care formulations as per market/ customer demand, which should highlight attributes our product. The end goal will be to formulate efficacious and compliant product which can in-turn increase sales with customers. All the formulations must have unique codes for easy identification.

Customer Meeting:

RnD Manager must travel with the team mates, as and when required for customer visit, to resolve technical issues. These visits must be focused on closing already existing pipeline and creating new leads. Furthermore, as per customer requirement, you may have to conduct trials at their lab as well. Furthermore, do submit Visit reports , from RnD perspective.

TSR Management:

RnD Manger must create a document with list of TSR along with its goal and current status. They must conduct preliminary meeting with respective team mate to decide, which products should be used for promotion and formulation. Furthermore, they must conduct regular meetings to inform regarding the development work. Please prepare a final document with summarized finding. Please conduct a meeting with customer to know their final feedback. RnD manager should be involved in TSR till the commercialization.

Preparing and maintaining Documentation:

RnD manager, should be involved in preparing below documents:

Formulary Sheets: Please maintain formulary sheets for sending the same to clients.

Maintaining document: Please keep all the technical information received from supplier upto date in our common folder.

Prototype Pipeline: Please maintain Prototype pipeline and take feedback from team.

Sampling Activity:

RnD manager should monitor sampling activities. They should monitor sample stock and notify beforehand if the sample is about to be finished. Furthermore, they must overlook maintaining below register.

Sampling stock: Current sample qty. in stock along with the COA, expiry date etc. Stock if removed for internal development, must be mentioned.

Sample inward and outward register, along with date of receipt, COA, batch no. etc.

Maintenance and calibration of Instruments:

To maintain lab equipments and ensure they are calibrated from time to time. Ensure good lab practices are being followed by everyone.

Training:

To organize and conduct technical and lab training of team independent and sometimes along with supplier to ensure, everyone is well-versed with the technical details,product performance and technology. Furthermore, you can also bring everyone upto date with new technology, trends, ingredients etc.

Sourcing:

TO source RM, PM from vendors required to conduct experiment, to ensure formulations can be prepared.
