Job summary

GMR Group seeks a senior QA/QC professional to manage construction QA/QC processes at site. You will coordinate inspections, ensure compliance with IS/BS/ASTM codes and ISO systems, and maintain comprehensive quality documentation.

The role involves leading a small team and interfacing with regulators, clients, and vendors. Ideal candidate has 12–14 years in construction QA/QC for mega malls, IT parks, or commercial buildings, with airport project exposure considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM or equivalent with management exposure.
• 12–14 years in Construction QA/QC for mega projects.
• Strong knowledge of IS/BS/ASTM codes and ISO systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
• Coordinate quality inspections with sub-contractors and vendors; coordinate NDT on site.
• Ensure activities comply with codes/standards and employer requirements.
• Maintain quality records, certificates, and documentation per project.
• Conduct internal audits for Integrated Management systems.
• Lead site reviews, meetings, and corrective actions.

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE

To Manage Project QA & QC Process, Inspection and Testing of Construction works. Ensure final products are in line with Employer’s Requirement and Comply to Contract Terms and codal standards and specifications. Implementation ISO Management System, Audits & Compliance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Implement the QA/QC management system at site
• Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all nondestructive testing on site.
• Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
• % adherence to the Quality Standards.
• Ensures the quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements.
• Training Records and awareness campaigns photographs
• Carry out regular site inspections in association with project manager and site team.
• Attending site committee meetings and site co-ordination meetings.
• Inspection reports and Site quality Observations
• Site review meeting minutes and follow ups
• Complying legal requirements and other statutory requirements.
• Conducting Internal audits for Integrated Management systems.
• Quality formats / Audit observations and findings
• Non – conformance Reports

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Should have worked in projects of size 150 to 300 Cr.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA / Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Management / Hospitality

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 12 to 14 years of work experience in Construction QA/QC in the field of Buildings especially mega malls/ It parks/ Commercial buildings/
• Airport experience will be an added advantage.

• Well versed with IS, BS, ASTM codes for Quality control & testing procedures
• Experience in implementation Quality Management Systems (ISO)
