Job summary

GMR Group seeks a seasoned QA/QC professional to lead the Project QA/QC processes for construction works and ensure compliance with contractual terms and codal standards. The role involves implementing ISO management systems, audits and on-site oversight with a small team.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with sub-contractors, ensuring quality records and inspection reports, and conducting internal audits to drive continuous improvement on mega projects worth 150 to 300 Cr.

Qualifications

• Experience in Construction QA/QC across large-scale projects.
• Well-versed with IS, BS, ASTM codes for quality control & testing procedures.
• Experience in implementing Quality Management Systems (ISO).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain QA/QC management system at site.
• Coordinate quality inspections with all site subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and contract terms.
• Prepare and collate quality records, certificates and documentation.
• Lead internal audits for integrated management systems.

Job description

Job Purpose

To Manage Project QA & QC Process, Inspection and Testing of Construction works. Ensure final products are in line with Employer’s Requirement and Comply to Contract Terms and codal standards and specifications. Implementation ISO Management System, Audits & Compliance.

Key Performance Indicators

• Implement the QA/QC management system at site
• Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all nondestructive testing on site.
• Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
• % adherence to the Quality Standards.
• Ensures the quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements.
• Training Records and awareness campaigns photographs
• Carry out regular site inspections in association with project manager and site team.
• Attending site committee meetings and site co-ordination meetings.
• Inspection reports and Site quality Observations
• Site review meeting minutes and follow ups
• Complying legal requirements and other statutory requirements.
• Conducting Internal audits for Integrated Management systems.
• Quality formats / Audit observations and findings
• Non – conformance Reports

Education Qualifications

• MBA / Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Management / Hospitality

Relevant Experience

• 12 to 14 years of work experience in Construction QA/QC in the field of Buildings especially mega malls/ It parks/ Commercial buildings/
• Airport experience will be an added advantage.
• Well versed with IS, BS, ASTM codes for Quality control & testing procedures
• Experience in implementation Quality Management Systems (ISO)
