Job summary

Atul Auto is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to oversee incoming quality for BIW and Weld shops. You will ensure adherence to inspection plans, perform vendor audits, and drive CAPA effectiveness to reduce PPM and defects across BIW, fabrication, and paint shop lines.

The role requires close coordination with Production, R&D, and supplier teams, plus timely GRN clearance in SAP and material Planning support. Training subordinates is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for incoming quality related to BIW and Weld shops
• Expertise in sheet metal/press parts and fabrication processes
• Expertise in welding assembly with thorough knowledge of welding processes and their defects
• Vendor visit for conducting Process and Product Audit and addressing Quality issues to improve the Incoming Quality level
• Raising PQFRs regarding quality issues to suppliers and purchase on daily basis
• Close monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of the CAPA submitted by vendor
• Tracking the performance of vendor in Receipt Rejection, Line Rejection
• To Reduce PPM level by continuously monitoring performance of the component
• Coordinating with Production, R&D, and BIW, paint shop department for any Quality related issues
• Attending BIW, fabrication and paint shop line complaints with Line quality people
• Ensure In coming Inspection as per Inspection plan
• GRN clearance within target time & GRN punching in SAP system
• Shortage material clearance on daily basis
• Doing co-ordination with stores, planning, purchase in material clearance
• Allotment of work to Engineers, inspectors and monitoring it
• Inform quality issues to Superior, purchase and vendors by phone, by mail
• To manage segregation activity whenever supplier comes for segregation and making MOM with them after that
• Give training to sub-ordinates of any instruments, process or any parts related to vehicle whenever required
• To work on daily work plan instructed by Superior
• To raise DCRs related to Cost reduction, process improvement, Drawing correction etc. whenever required
• Take trials of new parts or new supplier dev. Whenever required
• Take readings of parts related to field complaints, line complaints desired by R&D or CQA Dept. whenever required
