Mahindra Group in Chakan is seeking an experienced mechanical/automobile engineer to own field and internal issue resolution for B&T models. You will lead cross-functional teams, perform data analysis, and drive root-cause investigations to implement corrective actions across manufacturing, supplier quality, and design.

The role demands 10–15 years of automotive experience, strong communication, and advanced MS Office skills to publish MIS reports and management-ready presentations.

Competenze

• Self-motivated and able to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; MS Office proficient.
• Product knowledge on vehicle mechanisms (power window, door lock, wiper motor).
• Understanding of parts and vehicle-level interfaces of mechanism components.
• Experience with root cause analysis using QC story and 8D.
• Familiar with DOE, Fault Tree, Ishikawa diagrams and QC tools.
• Good data management and ability to draw conclusions from data.
• Willing to travel within country for joint investigations.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Commodity: B&T

• 1. Will be responsible for resolving field concerns related to Chakan models B&T .
• 2. Will be responsible for resolving internal concerns related to Chakan models B&T
• 3. Data analysis
• 4. Daily monitoring of field complaints & effectivity of actions
• 5. Reduction in field concerns by correct root cause analysis & speedy implementation of corrective measure to meet organisation targets
• 6. Genearte Field concern MIS & publish report, PPT for higher management
• 7. Carry out joint investigations in field to arrive at root cause
• 8. Take appropriate actions in association with manufacturing, supplier quality & design & for closure of field & internal concerns
• 9. Speedy & time bound closure of emerging concerns & immobilisation concerns

• 2. Good understanding on parts E.g Power window , Door lock , Windshield washer motor , Wiper motor , Actuators , Setas , sunroof ORVM etc.
• 3. Good understanding on vehicle level interface of Mechanism componenets with each other.
• 4. Good understanding on manufacturing process of Mecahnism parts
• 5. Systematic root cause analysis of Failures by QC story approach , 8D methodology Should be able to demonstrate problem solving ability using problem solving tools.
• 6. Conversant with shinin DOE technique, preparation of Fault Tree for Analysis,Ishikawa diagram, statistical tools
• 7. Knowledge of Basic 7 QC & Advance QC Tools.
• 8. Understanding of engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, control plans etc.
• 9. Good at data management & interpretation of data to draw meaningful conclusions
• 10 Willing to work with own hands
• 11 Willing to travel across country at short notice for joint investigations
• 12. Good at Excel & Power point presentations.
• 13. BIW , Trim parts knowledge will be added advantage.
