Job summary

Air Liquide in Delhi is seeking a senior procurement professional responsible for executing the project procurement plan for assigned projects. You will coordinate with project teams and category managers for lead items, and work with suppliers of non-lead equipment to support the project.

The role emphasizes PPP targets, cost, delivery, and risk reduction, developing sourcing strategies, and maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration and/ or law, engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years or more of Procurement and Supplier management experience in multinational company and/or chemical industry.
• Good communication skills and team working ability/spirit.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The position is responsible for executing the project procurement plan for his/her assigned project(s). Incumbent will coordinate procurement activities directly between the project team and the appropriate category manager for lead items. He / She will also work directly with suppliers of non-lead equipment to competitively support the project. Must also use budgetary measures and support project procurement management to drive improvements toward E&C competitiveness and performance

Operative effectiveness:

• Define, jointly with Project Management, project specific vendor list for proposal- and project execution.

• Develop Commercial Bid Analysis under Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) consideration

• Ensure conduct of pre-award negotiations by category team

• Recommend for purchase to Project Procurement Manager, Project Manager, Global Category Management and Centre Procurement Director, as applicable.

• Negotiate with suppliers directly or support managers with negotiations of non-lead equipment.

• Ensure support to warranty case clarification / claim management

• Identify track and report key performance indicators / performance metrics

• Support Project team by meeting PPP targets, ensuring that supplier back charges are followed through.

Development and Competitiveness:

• Support category buyer in developing sourcing strategy leading to qualification of new suppliers while ensuring proper involvement of other E&C functions (Products / Technology and Project Management)

• Contribute to cost, delivery time and risk reduction projects while maintaining the required quality

• Implement E&C spend target in low cost countries in assigned category and negotiate global MOU or contracts

• Establish and communicate action plan for assigned project: spend analysis, objectives, sourcing action plan, resources and milestones

• Support common Supplier Relation Management tool and related workflows deployment

• Identify, develop and qualify new suppliers in the zone with a view to improve competitiveness as well as raise the benchmark of services

• Contribute to the company's competitiveness improvement programs.

Minimum 10 years or more of Procurement and Supplier management experience is required (multinational company and/or chemical industry preferred); Good knowledge in strategic and project procurement in order to conduct category management and procurement activities within the dedicated procurement category. ability to independently organize and host internal and external meetings, coordinate across teams/departments;
