Job summary

SG Oasis in India is seeking a Manager - Production Planning & Control and Operational Excellence to lead PPC processes and drive continual improvement across the supply chain. You will align sales demand with raw material and packaging planning, monitor shop-floor execution, and ensure OTIF delivery while optimizing inventory levels.

This role requires a BE, 7+ years in PPC in food, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Qualifications

• BE is required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is mandatory.
• 7+ years of experience in Production Planning & Control in Food industry.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Experience in bakery, confectionery, dairy, or FMCG is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Production planning and execution workflow.
• Standardize planning templates, reports, and review routines.
• Consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly demand from Sales & Strategy.
• Convert demand into realistic production plans with available resources.
• Advanced planning of RM, PM and production during high demand events.
• Manage capacity constraints and re-plan in case of breakdowns or urgent orders.
• Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely availability of Raw materials and PM for all SKUs.
• Create Production Batches at department and SKU level for daily targets and monitor compliance.
• Bridge between Production and Dispatch for logistics management and optimization.
• Track plan adherence, wastage, yield, and variances; initiate corrective actions.
• Monthly S&OP with Management and stakeholders.
• Drive 5S and continual improvement (OpEx) initiatives.

Job Purpose

The Production Planning and Control & OpEx. Manager is responsible for creating, setting up, standardizing, and implementing the PPC processes and drive continual improvement program. The role integrates sales demand, raw material and packaging planning, production capacity, shop-floor execution, and dispatch planning to ensure timely order fulfillment (OTIF) and optimal inventory levels. Drive 5S, Continual improvement, Root cause analysis and assist implementation of counter measures.

Key Responsibilities

1. PPC Process Design & Implementation :

• Design and implement Production planning and execution workflow.
• Standardize planning templates, reports, and review routines.

2. Demand Consolidation & Planning :

• Consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly demand from Sales & Strategy.
• Convert demand into realistic production plans considering available resources.
• Advanced planning of RM, PM and Production during high demand events.
• Manage capacity constraints and re-plan in case of breakdowns or urgent orders.

3. Raw Material & Packaging Planning :

• Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely availability of Raw material.
• Coordinate with Packaging stores to ensure availability of PM for all SKUs.
• Inventory management to prevent shortages, excess stock (cost optimization), or expiries.

4. Shop-Floor Execution & Coordination :

• Creating a Production Batches at department and SKU level for daily targets and monitor the compliance.
• Resolve shop-floor issues impacting production flow or delivery timelines.
• Bridge between Production and Dispatch for logistics management and optimization.

5. Reporting & Control :

• Track plan adherence, wastage, yield, and variances.
• Analyze deviations and initiate corrective actions.

6. Governance framework :

• Monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) with Management and stakeholders.

7. Continual improvement - OpEx:

• Drive operational efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction, and foster an organizational culture on Kaizen - Continual improvement.
• Drive 5S program.
• Root cause analysis and counter measures.
• Support digitalization and system improvements.

Skills & Competencies :

• ERP and Excel proficiency for planning and reporting. Knowledge of Power BI will be added advantage.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
• Strong interface between sales demand and shop-floor execution.
• Experience in bakery, confectionery, dairy, or FMCG food manufacturing.
• Ability to work under dynamic demand and tight timelines.
