Job summary

Shalina Healthcare is looking for a Manager – Production (Capsules) to head the Capsule Department at Jejuri, Pune, with frequent travel to Nigeria. The role requires 12–18 years in capsule manufacturing, strong GMP/cGMP knowledge, and leadership of large production teams. You will drive production planning, process optimization, and cost-control initiatives in a global supply context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm/M. Pharm).
• 12 to 18 years of experience in pharmaceutical capsule manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, cGMP, and global regulatory requirements.
• Experience in production planning, process optimization, productivity, and cost control.
• Experience with regulatory audits, quality systems, and manufacturing documentation.
• Proven leadership skills to manage large production teams.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsible as the Section Head of the Capsule Department.
• Production planning, monitoring, and achievement of production targets.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with GMP and cGMP requirements.
• Review and approval of production documentation.
• Identify and resolve operational constraints to improve productivity.
• Provide on-the-job training to staff and workers.
• Conduct process cycle time analysis and process optimization.
• Prepare and present monthly MIS reports.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and their implementation.
• Plan and optimize resources for cost-saving projects.
• Lead capacity improvement and expansion planning.
• Prepare budgetary requirements in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure successful implementation of new setup and expansion requirements.

• Strong knowledge of GMP, cGMP, and global regulatory requirements.


• Proven expertise in production planning, process optimization, productivity improvement, and cost control.


• Experience in handling regulatory audits, quality systems, and manufacturing documentation.


• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage large production teams and cross-functional stakeholders.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


• Proficient in ERP/SAP and MS Office applications.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.


• Experience in handling capacity expansion, technology transfer, or new manufacturing setup will be an added advantage.
