Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a seasoned Production Manager in Mumbai to lead panel assembly operations, ensure quality, and drive production efficiency on site. You will coordinate planning, manage resources, and mentor technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 5–9 years in production management, a BE/BTech, and hands-on discipline with electrical panels and related equipment. Schneider Electric offers a comprehensive rewards package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Electrical panel assembly knowledge including reading schematics, GA drawings and BOM.
  • Experience with electrical components such as MCCBs, ACBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, busbars and control wiring.
  • Knowledge of panel standards and IEC safety regulations.
  • Experience with production planning, resource allocation and bottleneck resolution.
  • In-process and final quality inspection with RCA and CAPA.
  • Strong supervisory and training skills for technicians.
  • Inventory planning, BOM verification and procurement coordination.

Job description

  • Technical skills Electrical panel assembly knowledge. (LT Panels, VFD/ PLC panels) Ability to read and interpret Electrical schematics, GA drawings, Wiring diagrams, BOM (Bill of Materials), Knowledge of electrical components MCCBs, ACBs, MCBs, Contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, Busbars and control wiring Understanding of panel standards Is/ IEC standards, Safety regulations Troubleshooting and testing of assembled panels
  • Production Management Skills g. production planning and scheduling, Resource allocation and manpower management, Capacity planning, Cycle time reduction initiatives, resolve production bottlenecks/issues, 5S implementation, Productivity and efficiency improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Quality Management Skills g. In-process quality inspection, Final inspection, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with CAPA, IMS understanding of requirements
  • Safety Skills g. Electrical safety practices, PPE compliance, Hazard identification and risk assessment, Maintaining a safe shop-floor environment
  • Leadership & People Management skills g. Team supervision and motivation, Training and skill development of technicians, Conflict resolution, Shift management, Effective communication with workers and management
  • Inventory & Material Management e.g. Material planning and tracking, Inventory control, BOM verification, Coordination with stores and procurement, Minimizing material shortages
  • Software & Digital Skills e.g. SAP ERP systems, MS office (MS word, Excel, Power point etc., Production dashboards and KPI tracking, Basic knowledge of CAD drawings
  • 5 - 9 Years of experience in Production Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
