Job summary

Orchid Pharma in India is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shop floor activities, ensuring adherence to cGMP and SOPs. You will manage batch execution, material planning, shift allocation, and safety practices to meet production targets.

The role emphasizes strict entry/exit procedures, hygiene, and documentation to guarantee product quality. Experience in tablets, capsules, ointments and sachets is preferred, with a focus on efficient planning and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that all the activities on shop floor are carried out in accordance with cGMP as per SOP/BMR.
• Specialization in Tablets, capsules, ointment and sachet (dry powder).
• Overall responsible for production related execution and planning.
• To ensure entry & exit procedures and hygiene procedures are followed strictly.
• To ensure products are produced as per specification and stored with proper documentation to ensure quality.
• To implement the production plan to meet projected targets.
• To meet production targets respecting material consumption, manpower and quality.
• To arrange required materials (raw/materials) as per requirement.
• To plan for technical/behavioral training and development of department personnel.
• To avoid batch mix up and cross contamination.
• To ensure qualification and maintenance of department, premises and equipment.
• To comply with safety practices.
• Procurement of spares and other production needs.
• To ensure and maintain work discipline on shop floor.
• To ensure area and equipment are maintained as per SOP.
• Monthly and weekly work allocation for down the line employees.
• Shift planning and work distribution, leaves and overtime as required.

Role & responsibilities

• To ensure that all the activities of shop floor carried out in accordance with cGMP as per laid down procedure in SOP, BMR.
• Specialization in Tablets, capsules, ointment and sachet (dry powder).
• Overall responsible for production related Execution and Planning.
• To ensure that the entry & exit procedure, personal hygiene procedure is followed strictly.
• To ensure that products are produced as per specification and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality.
• To implement the production plan given in order to meet the projected targets.
• To meet production targets of formulation within the established standards with respect to material consumption, manpower and quality.
• To ensure to arrange all required materials (Raw Material/Packing Material/Miscellaneous) as per requirement.
• To plan for technical / behavioral, training and development of the department personnel.
• To ensure avoidance of batch mix up and cross contamination.
• To ensure the qualification and maintenance of his department, premises and equipment.
• To comply and ensure the implementation of safety practice.
• Procurement of machine spares, change parts and other production needs.
• To ensure and maintain work discipline on shop floor.
• To ensure all the area and equipment are maintained and operated as per respective SOP.
• Monthly and weekly work allocation for down the line employees.
• Shift planning and work distribution to subordinates.
• Recommendation for leaves and shift change, overtime as and when required.
