About this Position
In this role, you will be responsible for driving Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, facilitating risk assessments, ensuring compliance with global and local safety standards, and embedding a strong process safety culture across multiple manufacturing plants. Working closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, and project teams, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating process risks while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
What you´ll do
- Lead Process Safety Management activities across manufacturing plants at the Kurkumbh site.
- Facilitate and conduct process hazard analyses including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, FMEA, and other risk assessment studies.
- Identify high-risk processes and drive mitigation plans through collaboration with operations, engineering, and project teams.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific process safety systems and procedures.
- Manage Process Safety KPI reporting, trend analysis, and improvement initiatives.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive Management of Change (MoC) processes and ensure process safety considerations are integrated into project design and execution.
- Lead process safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Coach, train, and influence site teams to strengthen process safety awareness and culture.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and Henkel Process Safety requirements.
What makes you a good fit
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience, with the last 1-2 years in leading a plant/site for process safety.
- Must have strong skills in HAZOP, PHA, LOPA - and be capable of leading the same for the site.
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence, train and coach the teams including shopfloor teams
- Advanced certifications like CCPS Process safety professional certification is highly desirable.
- Preferred industries - Specialty chemicals, Oil and Gas.
