Job summary

Henkel seeks a seasoned SHE Manager to drive Sustainability, Health, Environment and Safety at the Kurkumbh site in India. You will ensure compliance with Henkel SHE standards and legal requirements while fostering a strong safety culture.

The role requires 12+ years in chemical/pharma manufacturing, NEBOSH and B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, plus experience leading audits and cross-functional SHE initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in chemical/pharma manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading SHE in a large manufacturing site (500+ manpower) or multi-plant setup.
• Strong exposure to process safety assessments and improvement actions.
• Solid understanding of environmental management and licenses.
• Proven ability to lead audits, regulatory interactions and cross-functional SHE initiatives.
• NEBOSH certification and B.Tech in Chemical Engineering are mandatory; ADIS/PDIS essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly SHE reporting per internal/external requirements.
• Analyze SHE performance trends and drive improvement actions.

• Develop and deliver SHE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Strengthen SHE awareness and competence across all levels of the organization.

About this Position

The SHE Manager is responsible for driving the Sustainability, Health, Environment and Safety (SHE) strategy at the Kurkumbh site. The role ensures full compliance with Henkel SHE standards, legal requirements, and continuous improvement agendas, while fostering a strong safety culture and advancing sustainability and process safety excellence across the site.

What You'll Do

• Manage the review, renewal, and compliance of all SHE-related legal permits, licenses, and statutory requirements.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with environmental regulations, including ETP operations, environmental clearances, and applicable licenses.
• Perform required monthly and quarterly SHE reporting as per internal and external requirements.
• Analyze SHE performance trends and proactively drive improvement actions.
• Lead investigation and root cause analysis of SHE incidents.
• Support the development, implementation, and tracking of corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate documentation and closure of incidents in Henkel’s reporting systems.
• Develop and deliver SHE training programs for employees, contractors, and third-party workers.
• Strengthen SHE awareness and competence across all levels of the organization.
