Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer in India, Maharashtra to support localization initiatives through hands-on scale-up, pilot trials, and manufacturing transfers. You will bridge Product Development Engineering with manufacturing, helping accelerate commercialization and regional growth.

Responsibilities include supporting trials, validating processes, setting up equipment, and preparing materials and documentation, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, pilot plant, laboratory, process engineering, product development, or scale-up environment.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting skills for process, equipment, and manufacturing issues.
• Experience supporting pilot trials, manufacturing transfers, process validation, and product commercialization activities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving, and safety mindset.

About this Position

The Senior Product Development Engineer will support the future localization initiatives by providing hands-on technical support for product scale-up, pilot trials, manufacturing transfers, and process validation activities. This role will serve as a key link between Product Development Engineering and the manufacturing site, helping accelerate commercialization and regional growth.

What You´ll Do

• Support pilot and production trials for new product introductions and localization projects.
