Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Chennai invites a qualified professional to lead financial evaluation of new products, capex approvals, and project accounting in an R&D environment. You will coordinate with project teams, prepare MIS, assess cash flows, and support pricing and material cost assumptions for business cases.

CA / ICWAI / MBA with SAP experience preferred; strong knowledge of GST and income tax, and excellent analytic and communication skills are essential for effective project

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Company Accounts, Accounting standards

• Analytic skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience in handling Project Accounting under R&D environment should be required
• SAP workiexperience would be preferred

Responsibilities

• Interact with Project teams; compile and analyze investment, material cost, and IRR computations
• Monitor projects against Business Case assumptions including cash flow and project cost
• Coordinate with CPE and Corporate Finance for investment approvals
• Assist in drafting Consultancy Agreements and resolve commercial/tax/IP issues
• Prepare meaningful Project MIS, budget spends and cashflows
• Coordinate Capex/Revenue Budget and approvals
• Handle risk assessment, forex payments, economics and taxation aspects
• Ideate and coordinate IT dashboard development and process automation; ensure internal controls
• Manage other project accounting and general accounting matters

Job description

Financial evaluation of New Products

• Interaction with Project teams, Compilation & analysis of investment, Material Cost, contributions, IRR Computations, make vs buy analysis, special approvals as per capex policy etc.. Candidate is expected to understand the product from market & competition stand point and contribute towards determining optimal pricing and material cost assumptions for Business Case purpose.
• Monitoring of projects with respect to Business Case assumptions - progress, cash flow projecand product cost, investments etc. Closly work with Project team with regard to smooth executionthe project.
• Coordination with CPE, Corporate Finance etc for investment approvals.
• Provide assistance in legal drafting of Consultancy Agreements – discussion with project teamforeign consultant and resolving commercial conditions/ taxation / other legal issues such as IPR Arbitration, Cancellation, Conflict Resolution etc
• Preparation of meaningful and insightful Project MIS, budget spends and cashflows.
• Capex / Revenue Budget – coordinate with users, scrutiny & summarization of proposals,coordination of approval.
• Handling Risk Assessment of projects, coordinating forex payments, Economics, Taxation aspects
• Ideation and coordination of IT dash board development, automation of process, documentatiovarious internal process, ensure appropirate internal controls etc.
• Any other matters related to project Accounting and general Accounting.
