Adecco India is seeking a Manager Planning – Demand & Supply to oversee end-to-end Demand and Material Planning at Kandivali, Mumbai. The role partners with Procurement, Sales, and Production to ensure optimal product availability and continuous supply.

You will drive RCCP, S&OP, capacity planning, and inventory optimization, while leading a planning team and delivering MIS dashboards for management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Engineering, Commerce, Science or related field.
• MBA/PGDM in SCM adds value; professional certifications preferred.
• Hands-on SAP experience and planning analytics tools are desirable.

Position Details

Position: Manager Planning – Demand & Supply
Function: Supply Chain Management
Location: Kandivali, Mumbai
Reporting to: Head – Global Planning, Supply Chain Management

Role Overview

The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end Demand and Material Planning, ensuring optimum product availability, effective inventory management, capacity utilization, and uninterrupted material supply.

The position will also play a key role in S&OP, RCCP, capacity planning, inventory optimization, production planning, and cross-functional supply chain improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the end-to-end Demand and Material Planning function.
• Prepare and review Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and identify capacity constraints or underutilization.
• Ensure timely release of production plans aligned with customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Partner with Procurement to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Monitor key planning KPIs including Plan vs. Actual, Capacity Utilization, Production Adherence, Inventory and Customer OTIF.
• Review and optimize safety stocks, reorder points and procurement parameters.
• Identify potential stock-out risks, supply disruptions and material shortages and develop mitigation plans.
• Drive optimization of RM/PM inventory, including excess, obsolete, slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
• Support Annual Budgeting, Long-Range Capacity Planning and business planning activities.
• Support New Product Development (NPD), technology transfers and product launches from a planning perspective.
• Conduct scenario analysis and business impact assessments to support supply continuity and sourcing decisions.
• Prepare planning dashboards, MIS and analytical reports for management decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement through SAP, Power BI, advanced planning systems, automation and digital tools.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Procurement, Production/Operations and Corporate Supply Chain teams.
• Lead, coach and develop the Planning team and build functional capabilities.

Candidate Profile

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Commerce, Science, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations would be an advantage.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP or equivalent certification would be preferred.

Experience:

• 8–10+ years of experience in Demand/Supply Planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Material Planning and S&OP.
• Good understanding of inventory management, capacity planning, forecasting and supply chain KPIs.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP (MM/PP/IBP or equivalent ERP), Advanced Excel and Power BI/planning analytics tools.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.
