Team Overview

As Market Supply Planner (International) within Logistics Operations, you will own market supply planning for finished products across international markets, balancing product availability, inventory, service, cost, and waste. You will partner with regional planning teams, plants, Centers of Excellence, and General Mills India Center teams to strengthen planning capabilities, standardize processes, and improve business performance. This Mumbai-based hybrid role offers the opportunity to influence global planning standards through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Accountabilities
  • Own market supply and inventory planning for finished products, including product availability, inventory strategy, stock optimization, and replenishment to origin warehouses based on demand insights.
  • Manage the supply chain interface between market teams and upstream plants and enterprise supply teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply while proactively minimizing shortage risks.
  • Manage stock policy and shelf-life requirements to achieve service targets and reduce product waste; maintain accurate supply parameters and master data in SAP, OMP, and other planning systems.
  • Lead demand consolidation and variance validation for international markets, monthly production regrouping decisions across make-to-order and make-to-stock products, and weekly supply sufficiency analysis and execution.
  • Represent markets in weekly supply and operations execution meetings with plants; identify and elevate supply gaps, exceptions, and operational challenges to enable timely resolution.
  • Analyze planning data, validate system-driven activities and outputs, run supply segmentation models, and provide feedback to improve segmentation standards and planning effectiveness.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional supply Centers of Excellence, concurrent supply planners, deployment and replenishment teams, finite planners, inventory analysts, customer service, logistics, and other global stakeholders; provide analytical support and triage planning alerts.
  • Own make-to-order and make-to-stock metric analysis and publication; identify automation and in-process measurement opportunities, strengthen governance, conduct loss analysis, support exports planning, and improve ways of working through service-level agreements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Full-time graduation from an accredited university.
  • At least 4 years of experience in supply chain, including planning, forecasting, basic operations, inventory planning, and statistical analysis.
  • Working knowledge of supply planning tools, including SAP enterprise resource planning and OMP.
  • Working knowledge of data-processing and visualization tools, such as Tableau.
  • Ability to process and evaluate large data sets and translate analysis into practical supply-chain actions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate with a broad range of global stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in operations, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • CSCMP or APICS certification.
  • Experience in international market supply planning, make-to-order or make-to-stock planning, supply segmentation, or exports planning.
  • Experience with metrics governance, automation, loss analysis, process standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience partnering with regional planning Centers of Excellence and global supply-chain teams through service-level agreements.
