Job summary

Allianz Services in Pune, India, invites an experienced Manager Operations to lead end-to-end US Life Insurance operations, spanning Life, Retail, and Commercial lines, with a focus on automation and client value. You will partner with senior stakeholders and drive transformational initiatives to improve efficiency and customer experience.

The role requires 10+ years in Insurance operations, deep knowledge of US insurance products and policy lifecycle, and the ability to work in a US night shift

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Insurance operations (Life / Retail / Commercial).
• Strong experience managing US Insurance / Life & Annuity operations.
• Experience leading end-to-end operations across the Insurance value chain.
• Exposure to US insurance products, processes and policy lifecycle.
• Proven ability to build teams, manage SLAs, KPIs, and client engagements.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Manager Insurance Operations to lead end-to-end operations for a strategic insurance client. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a strong combination of Insurance domain expertise ( Life, Retail, Commercial insurance ), operational leadership, client management, project/program management, transition management, automation, business development support and executive communication. The successful candidate will be responsible not only for ensuring operational excellence and meeting agreed service levels, but also for identifying opportunities to transform the operation, improve customer experience, drive automation, support new business pursuits and lead strategic initiatives for the client. The individual should be equally comfortable running the business, improving the business and engaging confidently with senior client stakeholders and CXO-level audiences.

10+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in Insurance operations ( Life / Retail / Commercial ). Strong experience managing US Insurance / Life & Annuity operations / Retail / Commercial. Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end operations across the Life / Retail / Commercial Insurance value chain. Strong understanding of US Insurance products, processes and policy lifecycle. Proven experience managing large teams and multiple operational processes. Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with senior US stakeholders. Proven experience in managing operational SLAs, KPIs, quality and productivity. Demonstrated experience in new client transitions / migrations. Demonstrated experience in building teams from scratch and scaling them. Demonstrated experience in driving automation and process transformation with measurable outcomes. Strong project management / program management experience. Proven experience creating new business proposals, RFP responses and client presentations. Excellent PowerPoint presentation and storytelling skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and make sound business decisions. Willingness to work in a US night shift environment. Willingness to work 100% from office.

Bachelors degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline. Master's degree / MBA preferred. State Insurance Adjuster / Claims Adjuster certification or relevant US state insurance licensing . LOMA / FLMI / ALMI or equivalent Life Insurance certification preferred. Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification preferred. Experience working with Life Insurance policy administration platforms such as Guidewire, Majesco, Sapiens, Vitech, FAST, Oracle/legacy PAS platforms or similar is desirable. Exposure to RPA, AI/GenAI, workflow automation, process mining and analytics tools is preferred. Experience working with US clients and understanding US insurance operating models is strongly preferred.
