Job summary

Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) in India seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to oversee maintenance of high-pressure equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, and thermal oil/E.T.P. equipment.

You will coordinate with procurement, lead shutdown planning, and ensure ISO documentation compliance while driving cost optimization. Candidate should have a B.Tech in Mechanical, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical engineering required.
• 4–6 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience with high-pressure equipment, boilers, HVAC, and related systems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-pressure equipment including compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers.
• Oversee boilers and pressure systems maintenance and compliance.
• Manage HVAC, cooling towers, and chilling plants for efficiency.
• Plan shutdowns, coordinate with Production and other departments.
• Coordinate procurement of spares and services; ensure inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance of High-Pressure Equipment Oversee maintenance of high-pressure compressors, blowers, pumps, heat exchangers, reformers, hot oil systems, and other critical utility equipment.
• Boilers and Pressure Systems Manage maintenance activities for high- and medium-pressure boilers and ensure statutory compliance.
• HVAC & Chilling Systems Oversee HVAC systems, including cooling towers and chilling plants, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Thermic Fluid Systems & ETP Equipment Manage thermic fluid system operations and maintenance. Supervise maintenance of ETP equipment and material handling systems.
• Troubleshooting & Shutdown Planning Diagnose mechanical issues across various equipment. Lead shutdown planning for machines and manpower in coordination with Production and other departments.
• Procurement Coordination Coordinate with the Purchase department for spares, chemicals, and consumables procurement. Ensure inventory availability and cost optimization.
• Vendor Management, Coordinate with vendors for breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, AMC services, and vendor capability enhancement.
• SAP-MM & PM Module Operations, ensure accurate and timely transactions in SAP related to maintenance and material management.
• ISO Documentation & Compliance, Maintain and implement ISO documentation requirements for the mechanical maintenance function.
• Daily Maintenance Planning & Resource Management Plan and schedule day-to-day maintenance activities. Manage workforce allocation and ensure effective cross-department coordination
