Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. Bengaluru seeks a skilled Test Engineer to analyse and validate power electronics converters and motor control units. You will oversee MOSFET and passive component testing, EOL procedures, and simulation analyses to ensure reliable traction inverters and related systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform Dyno tests, and document procedures while traveling to facilities and vendor locations as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in analysing and testing topologies of power electronics converters (Inverters for Traction systems, dc-dc converters).
• Testing MOSFETs (Si, SiC), DC link capacitor and gate drivers at circuit level.
• EOL testing procedures, calibration setup and supplier interactions.
• Simulation analysis for time and frequency domain, tolerance, derating analysis.
• MTTF, MTBF and reliability calculations.
• Testing with CAN, LIN, RS232, SPI, I2C protocols.
• EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing as per AIS-004, CISPR25, ISO11452.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for effective product readiness.
• Automated testing, verification & validation tools (Oscilloscope, Power analyser, Power supplies).
• Documentation of test activities and test setups.
• Willingness to travel across test facilities, manufacturing plants and vendor locations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and test power electronics converter topologies and traction inverters.
• Select components and perform circuit-level testing for passive, active and high-power devices (MOSFETs, DC link capacitors, gate drivers).
• Execute end-of-line testing procedures and calibrations with suppliers.
• Carry out simulation analyses in time and frequency domains; evaluate tolerances and derating.
• Compute MTTF/MTBF and overall reliability metrics.
• Perform testing with CAN, LIN, RS232, SPI, and I2C protocols.
• Conduct EMI/EMC pre-compliance tests as per AIS-004, CISPR25, ISO11452.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure product readiness.
• Utilize automated testing tools and instruments; document results thoroughly.
• Travel to test facilities, manufacturing plants and vendor locations as needed.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams for effective product readiness
• Experience in automated testing, verification & validation tools (Oscilloscope, Power analyser, Power supplies)
• Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication skills, enthusiasm to perform and learn new activities
• Perform Dyno test validations for functional and reliability of Motor control unit.
