  • Define test procedures, KPIs, and acceptance criteria in alignment with system & software requirements.
  • Ensure requirement traceability using DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent tools.
  • Identify testing needs: HIL, SIL, dyno testing, bench testing, vehicle testing.
  • Lead and mentor a team of MCU test engineers/technicians.
  • Oversee testing of:
    • Motor control algorithms (FOC, vector control, torque control).
    • Inverter switching logic & power electronics behaviour.
    • PWM generation, modulation schemes, current & voltage control.
    • Thermal performance under various load conditions.
  • Coordinate dyno testing, endurance testing, and stress testing of MCU.
  • Ensure proper setup of HV/LV test benches, instrumentation, and safety compliance.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Validate torque accuracy, response time, efficiency, thermal behaviour, and fault response.
  • Execute safety tests for HV systems, isolation checks, short‑circuit behaviour, and de‑rating algorithms.
  • Work with tools such as CANalyzer, INCA, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAS, dSPACE systems, PLECS.
  • Analyse log files, switching waveforms, and motor control signals using oscilloscopes and data loggers.
Issue Tracking & Reporting
  • Identify defects and log issues (Jira, ALM, or internal tools).
  • Drive RCA activities with software, hardware, and system design teams.
  • Prepare reports: performance summaries, issue dashboards, test coverage, compliance reports.
  • Track KPIs such as defect detection rate, test execution progress, and validation completeness.
Cross‑functional Collaboration

    • Software development teams (control algorithms, embedded SW).
    • Power electronics hardware team.
    • Motor design team.
    • Vehicle integration team.
    • Functional safety and reliability teams.
  • Support homologation and compliance testing (AIS, ISO 21434, ISO 26262 for ASIL requirements).
  • Coordinate external lab testing (thermal chambers, EMC labs, third‑party validation partners).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics, Automotive, or related fields.
  • 5–12+ years in Power Electronics / MCU testing.
  • 2+ years in a test leadership or team‑coordination role.
  • Strong leadership and project coordination abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving.
  • Experience with automotive MCUs used in BEV/PHEV applications.
  • Hands‑on experience with dSPACE HIL systems.
