Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a materials allocation specialist to develop and implement strategies across heavy engineering projects, ensuring optimal inventory levels that meet project timelines.

You will collaborate with procurement, define material specs and lead times, coordinate with project teams to prevent shortages, maintain detailed records, and report on inventory risks to keep projects on schedule.

• Develop a comprehensive materials allocation strategy across heavy engineering projects, balancing inventory levels with project needs to minimize excess and shortages.
• Work closely with the procurement team to establish optimal inventory levels, reordering points, and lead times, ensuring material availability without overstocking.
• Define and communicate material specifications, delivery timelines, and quality requirements to procurement teams, facilitating timely and accurate material sourcing.
• Coordinate with project teams to identify critical material needs, manage lead times, and address potential material shortages or delays proactively.
• Maintain detailed records of material allocation, usage, and inventory levels, generating regular reports on material status and identifying potential risks to project timelines.
