Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a professional to manage materials allocation for heavy engineering projects in Vadodara. The role involves coordinating with procurement, defining specs and timelines, and proactively addressing material shortages to keep projects on track.

The candidate will maintain detailed inventory records, communicate requirements clearly, and work closely with project teams to balance inventory with project needs. Local on-site engagement in Gujarat is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive materials allocation strategy across heavy engineering projects, balancing inventory levels with project needs to minimize excess and shortages.
• Work with procurement to set optimal inventory levels, reordering points and lead times to ensure availability without overstocking.
• Define and communicate material specs, delivery timelines and quality requirements to procurement, enabling timely sourcing.
• Coordinate with project teams to identify critical material needs, manage lead times and address shortages or delays proactively.
• Maintain records of allocation, usage and inventory; generate regular reports and flag risks to project timelines.
