Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Mumbai is seeking a Material Planner to monitor inventory levels of Engineering and Auxiliary materials, coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams, and ensure timely deliveries for uninterrupted project work. You will maintain accurate records, support cost control, and drive improvements in material handling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineering & Auxiliary material planning, inventory control, or supply chain management.
• Preference for marine/shipbuilding/oil & gas/EPC/offshore environments.
• Knowledge of Engineering & Auxiliary components, tools, and equipment used in shipbuilding and maintenance projects.
• Proficiency with program management and operations tools/softwares (MS Office, MS Project, SAP).

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels of Engineering & Auxiliary materials to ensure uninterrupted work.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage Engineering & Auxiliary inventory, including storage, labeling, and inspection.
• Work closely with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of Engineering & Auxiliary materials according to project schedules.
• Address discrepancies in material quality or quantity and coordinate with suppliers via procurement to ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain records of material usage, inventory levels, and project-based requisitions for outfitting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material control and reduce waste in outfitting.

• Monitor inventory levels of Engineering & Auxiliary materials, components, and consumables, ensuring sufficient stock for uninterrupted work.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage Engineering & Auxiliary-specific inventory, including storage, labeling, and inspection.
• Work closely with Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of Engineering & Auxiliary materials according to project schedules.
• Address any discrepancies in Engineering & Auxiliary material quality or quantity and work with suppliers via procurement team to ensure corrective measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of material usage, inventory levels, and project-based requisitions for Engineering & Auxiliary outfitting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material control and reduce waste in Engineering & Auxiliary outfitting.

Preferred candidate profile

• experience in Engineering & Auxiliary material planning, inventory control, or supply chain management, preferably in a marine, shipbuilding, oil & gas, engineering procurement & construction, offshore infrastructure environment
• Knowledge of Engineering & Auxiliary components, tools, and equipment used in shipbuilding and maintenance projects
• Proficiency with program management and operations tools/softwares (MS office, MS Project/SAP)
