Responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the organisation's interests and minimise legal and regulatory risks.
• Review, draft and negotiate legal and commercial agreements including MoUs, NDAs, partnership/collaboration, vendor, consultancy, HR and grant agreements.
• Manage the complete contract lifecycle from drafting to execution and compliance.
• Lead internal legal compliance and support corporate governance requirements.
• Provide legal advice to co-founders, senior management and internal stakeholders on commercial and employment matters.
• Advise on contract law, labour regulations, intellectual property, data privacy and general commercial laws.
• Liaise with local, state and central government authorities on legal and regulatory matters.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks in collaboration with internal teams.

Legal Manager Bangalore

We are looking for an experienced Legal Manager for one of our clients in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the organisations interests and minimise legal and regulatory risks.
• Review, draft and negotiate legal and commercial agreements, including MoUs, NDAs, partnership/collaboration agreements, vendor contracts, consultancy agreements, HR contracts and grant agreements.
• Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution and compliance.
• Lead internal legal compliance and support corporate governance requirements.
• Provide legal advice to the Co-Founders, senior management and internal stakeholders on commercial, corporate and employment-related matters.
• Advise on contract law, labour regulations, intellectual property, data privacy, corporate and general commercial laws.
• Liaise with relevant local, state and central government authorities on legal and regulatory matters.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks in collaboration with internal teams.
• Work closely with HR, Finance and other enabling functions on legal and documentation requirements.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsels, consultants and other legal experts.
• Support senior leadership in legal matters and contribute to organisational policies and strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a Legal Manager or similar leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) preferred. Additional relevant qualifications will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial and employment-related legal matters.
• Excellent legal drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management abilities.
