Job summary

Renew in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Kerf Silicon Filtering and Water Recycling Plant (300 m3/hr). You will manage daily operations, ensure stable performance and drive water recovery, filtration quality, and energy efficiency.

You will coordinate with upstream wafer slicing and ingot shaping teams, implement Kaizen programs, develop SOPs, and oversee maintenance budgets, spares, and inventory while maintaining ISO 9000/14001 and OHAS 18001

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of management experience in water recovery plants.
• Experience in submicron filtration and water quality controls.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and safety practices.
• Experience with Kaizen and 5S on shopfloor.
• Strong team leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation management of Kerf Silicon Filtering and Water Recycling plant.
• Improve water recovery rate, filtration volume, moisture content, and energy use.
• Review maintenance schedules and perform root cause analysis.
• Control costs for spares, consumables, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with upstream wafer slicing and ingot shaping teams for uptime.
• Establish SOPs, emergency plans, and QMS compliance with ISO 9000/14001/OHAS 18001.

Job description

Job Purpose:

This position will work in the Operation function for the Kerf Silicon Filtering and Water Recycling Plant of capacity 300 m3/hr, which is the support facility for a 6.0 GW scale Mono Crystalline Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing Plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Overall responsible for daily operation management of Kerf Silicon Filtering and Water Recycling plant, organize operation activities, ensure stable operation, and achieve targets on water recovery and recycling rate, silicon filtering volume, moisture content in the filtered silicon cake and energy consumption.

Review process optimization plans and equipment maintenance schedules, conduct root cause analysis for major equipment failures and process abnormalities, and promote technical transformation and energy-saving optimization.

Control unit operation costs, including spare parts application, consumable management and maintenance expense control

Coordinate with upstream wafer slicing workshop & ingot shaping workshop and schedule the utilization rate, maintenance, support for uninterrupted water feed to the slicers & shaping machines operation.

Establish and improve unit management systems, operating procedures and emergency response plans, etc.

Manage process engineers, equipment engineers and operation teams; arrange shift schedules, staff assessment and professional skill training, and coordinate internal manpower allocation.

Initiate improvement activities through Kaizen approach and develop a culture within team

Ensure Maintenance consumable and equipment utilization as per budget target.

Monthly MIS & spare inventory analysis and corrective measures.

Responsible for QMS in Compliance with ISO 9000:2008, ISO 14001, OHAS: 18001.

Implementation of TQM Concept on Shopfloor like 5S,3M, Suggestion Scheme, etc

Profile & Eligible Criteria:

• More than 10 years of management experience in water recovery and recycling plants. Handling of submicron level material particles filtration from the water and controlling the nature of the recovery water like COD, pH, turbidity, conductivity, etc.
• Experience in management of kerf silicon mixed water handling is preferred.
• Knowledge in silicon ingot / brick modification process, silicon wafer slicing process are most preferred.
• Knowledge of hazards generated in the water recycling process and safety methods of fine silicon material storage and Disposal methods.
• Familiar in handling large-size mechanical filter press systems and filter cloth changing methods and its Maintenance.
• Familiar with the full-set management logic of process, equipment, electrical & instrumentation and safety production, proficient in the whole-process operation and control of the unit.
• Possess excellent knowledge of team management, internal customer and external customer coordination, problem analysis, etc
• Knowledge of ISO- Standards and procedures and Basic Safety Knowledge (Fire-safety, Waste Management, etc)
• Good communication and Presentation skills
• Experience in MS Office and ERP
