Job summary

DTC Group in Kolkata is seeking an experienced Horticulture/Landscape Manager to lead on-site softscape execution, irrigation management, and budget control for premium properties.

You will oversee sourcing, planting, and maintenance across projects, ensuring plant health and cost-efficient vendor coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in horticulture or landscape management.
• Experience working with a real estate developer, luxury hospitality brand, or large-scale landscape contractor is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the native flora of West Bengal and plants suited for Kolkata microclimates.
• Familiarity with modern irrigation techniques (drip irrigation, sprinkler systems) and drainage planning.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and landscaping blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the sourcing and procurement of plants, soil, fertilizers, and landscaping materials from local nurseries and vendors.
• Manage the execution of softscape projects on-site, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation setup, and drainage execution.
• Monitor plant health, diagnose diseases, and implement pest control and weed management strategies.
• Ensure optimal operation of irrigation systems and adapt watering schedules for seasonal variations.
• Train, manage, and evaluate a team of on-site gardeners and landscaping supervisors.
• Negotiate with and manage third-party landscaping contractors, nurseries, and material suppliers for timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
• Prepare and manage the annual horticulture budget for the company's portfolio.
