Manager – Health

Summary of Role
As the Manager for the Health vertical, you will be responsible for overseeing the healthcare operations, managing the ground (medical and paramedical teams, ensuring the effective delivery of healthcare services to marginalized communities, financial management, MIS & PMS maintenance and handling administrative tasks related to fitness certificates and road tax compliance.
Key Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective execution of all approved projects, adhering to timelines and objectives.
- Implement and maintain an online Management Information System (MIS) access assigned Smile on Wheels (SOW) projects for seamless data management.
- Regular updating MIS & PMS.
- Directly engage with beneficiaries to oversee health programs, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to guarantee the timely submission of project reports, maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Ensure the timely re‑registration and renewal of fitness certificates for Smile on Wheels (SOW) vehicles, including fitness, registration, and re‑registration.
- Oversee and manage the timely submission of road tax for all program vehicles, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Initiate and lead awareness programs to educate communities on healthcare and related issues.
- Recruit and manage ground teams (excluding Program Coordinators), focusing on retention and team member induction and orientation.
- Liaise and network with government authorities, ensuring their participation in health.
- Analyze monthly GPS data to track the movement of Smile on Wheels (SOWs) at the ground level and generate detailed monthly reports for feedback and decision‑making.
- Conduct monitoring visits to program locations to assess implementation and provide necessary guidance.
- Encourage Program Coordinators to engage local media for support and coordinate with the communication team.
- Facilitate the training of frontline workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and track progress against set targets and schedules, ensuring timely completion of work.
- Live stream project dashboards to provide real‑time updates on project progress.
Education, Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in public health or a related field such as health administration or health management.
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare program management, preferably in a non‑profit or NGO setting.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and online communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
- Should be willing to travel and flexible to work on weekends when required.
