Job summary

Energy In Motion is seeking a Chartered Accountant with strong SAP expertise to own general ledger accounting and the finalisation of standalone and consolidated financial statements. The role requires hands-on control of the accounting close, Ind AS compliance and audit readiness across a multi-entity group.

Experience required: 3 to 9 years. Qualification: CA. The position involves leading GL in SAP FI/CO, driving end‑to‑end close, consolidation, and coordinating audits across the group.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with 3 to 9 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO, covering GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and period-end closing.
• Proven experience in finalisation of accounts and preparation of financial statements under Ind AS.
• Sound working knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013 and Schedule III reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own GL accounting in SAP FI/CO including journal entries and period-end closing.
• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual close across holding company and SPVs.
• Coordinate consolidation, intercompany eliminations and related disclosures.

Job description

Role Summary-

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with strong SAP expertise to own general ledger accounting and the finalisation of standalone and consolidated financial statements. The role requires hands‑on control of the accounting close, Ind AS compliance and audit readiness across a multi‑entity group.

Experience Required - 3 to 9 Years

Qualification - Charted Accountant

Key Responsibilities-

General Ledger & Accounting Close

• Own GL accounting in SAP, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and period‑end closing activities.
• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual close within defined timelines across the holding company and SPVs.
• Perform and review GL, bank, intercompany and sub‑ledger reconciliations, and resolve open items promptly.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including CWIP tracking, capitalisation and depreciation.

Financial Reporting & Finalisation

• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS and Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial results under Regulation 33 of SEBI LODR, including supporting schedules and disclosures.
• Handle consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, alignment of group accounting policies and related party disclosures.
• Coordinate statutory audits, limited reviews, internal audits and tax audits, and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.

SAP

• Serve as the finance lead for SAP FI/CO processes, including master data governance, period‑end configuration and report development.
• Identify process gaps and work with IT/SAP consultants on enhancements, automation and issue resolution.
• Support SAP upgrades or implementation projects, including requirement mapping, UAT, data migration validation and user training.

Must-Have Requirements-

• Qualified CA with 3 to 9 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SAP FI/CO, covering GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and period‑end closing.
• Proven experience in finalisation of accounts and preparation of financial statements under Ind AS.
• Sound working knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013 and Schedule III reporting.

Preferred-

• Experience in a listed entity, including quarterly results and SEBI LODR reporting.
• Participation in an end‑to‑end SAP implementation or S/4HANA migration.
• Exposure to multi‑entity consolidation and group reporting.
• Experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure or power sector.
