Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant with 5–8 years of experience in controllership, financial reporting, close and consolidation. The role focuses on managing quarterly close activities, intercompany reconciliations, and statutory reporting.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GL closing, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements, and familiarity with Ind AS/IFRS. Proficiency in Excel and consolidation tools is preferred.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with 5 – 8 years of experience in controllership, financial reporting, financial close and consolidation. The role will be responsible for managing quarterly close activities, standalone and consolidated financials, intercompany reconciliations, statutory audits and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and coordinate the quarterly financial close process with Business Controllers, Tax, Treasury and R2R teams.
• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements, notes to accounts and supporting schedules.
• Manage intercompany reconciliation and profit eliminations by coordinating with country and R2R teams.
• Ensure adherence to reporting calendars and timely completion of close and audit activities.
• Prepare cash-flow analysis and statement of changes in working capital.
• Analyse year-on-year, quarter-on-quarter and plan vs. actual variations.
• Ensure appropriate application of Ind AS/IFRS, including mark-to-market and fair value concepts.
• Manage annual statutory audits and quarterly limited review processes for standalone and consolidated financials.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation and automation within controllership and financial reporting.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 – 8 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience in financial close and consolidation.
• Experience in GL closing and preparation/review of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
• Strong understanding of accounting implications of corporate and tax laws.
• Experience with Oracle FCCS, Hyperion HFM, SAP BPC or other consolidation tools is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience in Big 4/large audit firms in statutory audit/assurance or corporate accounts/controllership in a large organisation is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other major ERP systems will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
