Myhq is seeking a Finance Controllership professional (CA) to lead financial reporting, book closure, and MIS preparation in a fast-paced startup environment. The role requires coordinating audits, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving financial controls with cross-functional teams across the business.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with MIS, AP/AR processes, and budgeting/variance analysis, plus proficiency in Excel and ERP tools. Prior startup or Big 4 exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• CA qualification completed with 3–6 years post-qualification experience.
• Startups and/or Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsabilités

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books of accounts.
• Prepare and present Monthly MIS reports and financial analysis.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Coordinate and manage quarterly and annual statutory audits.
• Work with internal stakeholders for reconciliations and financial controls.
• Support implementation and improvement of finance processes and SOPs.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

About the role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Finance Controllership professional (CA) to manage financial reporting, book closure, MIS preparation, and audit coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, experience in fast-paced startup environments, and the ability to work cross-functionally with business and finance teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books of accounts
• Prepare and present Monthly MIS reports and financial analysis
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting
• Coordinate and manage quarterly and annual statutory audits
• Work closely with internal stakeholders for reconciliations and financial controls
• Support implementation and improvement of finance processes and SOPs
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure timely compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Taxation knowledge including GST/TDS/compliances would be an added advantage

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 3-6 years of post-qualification experience
• Prior experience in startups and/or Big 4 preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with MIS, audits, AP/AR management, and book closure
• Good analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting tools
