Job summary

Mpokket Financial Services is seeking a Chartered Accountant to lead end-to-end financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance for a fast-growing fintech in Kolkata. You will oversee RBI-aligned Ind AS statements, MIS, auditing, and tax compliance while driving process improvements.

The role requires 34 years of post-qualification experience in BFSI/NBFC/fintech, strong ERP/MS Office skills, and ability to communicate with the board.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 34 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, accounting standards, financial reporting, MIS, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of ERP accounting software, MS Office, Google Workspace and data analytics tools.
• Exposure to budgeting, financial planning, treasury and stakeholder reporting.

Responsibilities

• Balo Analyze and prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements under Ind AS per RBI requirements.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, treasury coordination and borrowing-related activities.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports, conduct variance analysis and provide actionable business insights.
• Coordinate statutory, internal and regulatory audits and ensure timely closure of reviews.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and other tax requirements.
• Support board and audit committee reporting.
• Drive process automation to strengthen controls and efficiency.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong exposure to the BFSI/NBFC framework to join our Finance & Accounts team. The role will manage end-to-end financial reporting, accounting operations, audit management and regulatory compliance for a fast-growing fintech.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse standalone and consolidated financial statements under Ind AS in line with RBI reporting requirements.


• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, treasury coordination and borrowing-related activities.


• Prepare periodic MIS reports, conduct variance analysis and provide actionable business insights.


• Coordinate statutory, internal and regulatory audits and ensure timely closure of reviews and due diligence.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, GST, TDS and other direct and indirect tax requirements.


• Support board and audit committee reporting.


• Drive process automation and improvements to strengthen controls, efficiency and turnaround time.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 34 years of post-qualification experience.


• Relevant experience in BFSI, NBFC or fintech is required.


• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, accounting standards, financial reporting, MIS, audit and regulatory compliance.


• Working knowledge of ERP accounting software, MS Office, Google Workspace and data analytics tools.


• Exposure to budgeting, financial planning, treasury and stakeholder reporting.
