Job summary

GMR Power Urban Infra is seeking a Manager - Electrical Design Engineering to lead all electrical engineering activities for a 350 MW brownfield expansion. The role covers detailed engineering, system integration, load planning, switchyard expansion, and grid compliance without disrupting plant operations.

The incumbent will oversee protection coordination, major equipment engineering, and construction commissioning support, ensuring safe, reliable electrical design and seamless project delivery.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Exposure to ETAP or Power System Study software is desirable.
• Knowledge of CEA regulations and grid standards, protection relay coordination, and switchyard engineering (AIS/GIS) is needed.
• HT/LT distribution design and earthing protection design are relevant skills.
