Job summary

Torrent Power in Surat region seeks a skilled maintenance engineer to oversee generator, transformer, and switchyard systems. The role requires hands-on experience with high voltage equipment and protection relays, including Siemens S7 PLCs, to ensure reliability of power delivery.

Ideal candidates will have strong background in HT/LT motors, DC systems, UPS, and emergency DG set maintenance, with fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance capabilities across AIS/GIS switchyards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of generators, protection and SFC systems.
• Maintenance experience of power transformers rated 100+ MVA.
• Experience with 220kV/400kV AIS/GIS switchyards.
• Hands‑on experience with Siemens protection relays.
• HT/LT motor and switchgear maintenance experience.
• DC systems, UPS and emergency DG set maintenance.
• Electrical control systems using Siemens S7 Simatic PLC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and test HV/LV electrical equipment and protection systems.
• Troubleshoot faults in generator, transformer, and switchyard assets.
• Perform preventive maintenance of DC systems, UPS and DG sets.
