Job summary

Torrent Power in Madhya Pradesh seeks an AGM/Manager Electrical with 15-20 years of hands-on experience to lead erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for the plant. You will coordinate with EPC/sub-contractors and site teams to ensure safe, compliant execution.

You will oversee installation, testing, and documentation, conduct audits, and support approvals and commissioning milestones, while maintaining quality and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of experience in electrical power plant / EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan erection works with EPC contractor/sub-contractor on daily and periodic basis.
• Coordinate with site engineers, EPC contractor, and civil/mechanical teams.
• Supervise installation, erection, cable laying, termination, earthing, and other electrical equipment of the plant.
• Conduct testing to ensure mechanical completion as per QAP.
• Perform quality and safety audits and witness major erection activities.
• Ensure compliance with method statements and approved procedures.
• Monitor readiness, punch points, and commissioning milestones.
• Maintain as-built documentation, test reports, site logs and punch lists.
• Provide weekly progress reports, risk identification, and mitigation plans.
• Support RFIs, NCRs, and technical clarifications.
• Submit drawings for external approvals.
• Witness FAT/SAT as manufacturer works.

Position: AGM/Manager Electrical

Experience: 15-20 Years

Job Description:

• Hands-on knowledge of:
  • Generators, excitation system, UAT/SAT, HV/LV switchgear, MCCs, PCCs
  • Power transformers (HV/EHV), distribution transformers
  • AIS substations
  • HV/MV/LV cable systems
  • Protection relays, numerical relays, SCADA
  • Emergency power systems (DG sets, UPS, battery chargers)
  • Earthing & lightning protection systems
• Planning for erection works in coordination with EPC contractor/ sub-contractor on daily as well as periodic basis
• Daily coordination with EPC contractor, site engineers, and civil/mechanical teams.
• Supervision of installation, erection, cable laying, termination, earthing, and other electrical equipment of TPP.
• Supervise/conduct testing of electrical equipment to ensure mechanical completion as per agreed QAP.
• Conduct quality audits, safety audits, and witness key erection activities.
• Validate compliance with method statements and approved procedures
• Monitor system readiness, punch point closure, and commissioning milestones
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and approved drawing
• Maintain as-built documentation, test reports, site logs, and punch lists.
• Provide weekly progress reports, risk identification, and mitigation plans.
• Support preparation of RFIs, NCRs, and technical clarifications.
• Ensure the timely submissions of drawings for approval from external authority
• E tness major tests as manufacturer works (FAT, SAT)E
