Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy seeks a qualified EHS specialist to manage regulatory compliance and safety programs at our site in Mumbai. The role involves liaison with multiple environmental authorities and implementing robust EHS policies.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in chemical/Environmental Science with relevant degrees and experience in polymer/chemical/petrochemical environments. The position emphasizes regulatory alignment and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: technical degrees in chemical engineering or chemistry and related environmental disciplines (PDIS/ADIS).
• Experience with environmental health & safety practices is expected.
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies and compliance frameworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Should be deal with GPCB, CPCB, DISH, PESO, MoEF
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to Environment Health & Safety (EHS) at the site.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas of improvement in EHS management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective safety policies, procedures, and programs for the organization.
• Provide training on EHS best practices to employees and contractors working at the site.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EHS considerations into business operations.
• Compliance of applicable laws and regulations related to GPCB, CPCB, GIDC, DISH, PESO etc.
• Administering and maintaining compliance programs such as Confined space entry, LOTO, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Height work, Respiratory Protection, BBP, identifying risk and its mitigation etc.
• Industrial Experience in Polymer/ Chemical/Petrochemicals.
