Job summary

JLL in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to oversee site EHS, conduct fire life safety drills, and coordinate emergency response. You will set up equipment on arrival, perform rescues, and document incidents for compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining pre-fire plans, liaising with authorities for NOC renewals, and ensuring all fire systems are ready. Diploma/degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety and 3–5 years of relevant work are required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety (education requirement).
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of current fire suppression and firefighting techniques.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices involved in emergency medical services.

  • Oversee and ensure environmental health & safety at the site.
  • Perform equipment set‑up upon arrival at a fire scene.
  • Prepare plans and execute fire and life safety evacuation drills and related trainings for team members and occupants.
  • Complete rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations at fire scenes.
  • Determine if individuals are trapped within a burning facility and take appropriate rescue actions.
  • Perform lift evacuation and rescue drills periodically.
  • Secure affected structures to prevent rekindling.
  • Take inventory of all equipment after suppression, record equipment left on site, and complete incident reports.
  • Attend and provide information for pre‑fire planning studies; maintain updated knowledge of pre‑fire plans.
  • Liaise with government authorities for periodic renewal of NOCs.
  • Report and maintain records of all site incidents.
  • Keep checklists and records updated related to fire equipment maintenance and training records.
