Job summary

Tata Steel in India is seeking a design and detail engineer for piping, utilities and water systems on Greenfield and Brownfield projects. You will conceptualize projects, adapt standards, and coordinate with BU, PM, consultants and technology providers.

Responsibilities include in-house basic engineering such as water balance and PFDs/P&IDs, design optimization, 3D modelling, and review. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is required; experience with Navisworks and clash checks is preferred;

Qualifications

• Experience in piping design and utility/water systems for large projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience with 3D modelling and model review in Navisworks is preferable.

• Check deliverables for completeness and correctness.

• Design and Detail Engineering in the area of Piping, Utilities and Water systems for new Greenfield as well as Brownfield projects
• Conceptualization of project
• Adaptation of international & Indian Standards and industrial best practices.
• Co-ordination with Business Unit, PM, Consultant, Technology provider
• Interface Engineering and Management
• In-house Basic Engineering – Utility balances, water balance, PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP studies
• Develop Capability for estimation of project BOQs
• Design optimization. Design & Detailed Engineering in 3D. Review engineering
