Omnicom Global Solutions India is seeking a seasoned Design Manager to balance hands-on design with managing creative delivery across campaigns and digital assets. About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Design Manager who can balance hands-on design with managing creative delivery across a diverse range of organizational and business initiatives.

The role requires someone with a strong understanding of both static and motion/video design, a sharp eye for craft and brand consistency, and the ability to mentor designers while maintaining a high standard of creative output. The Design Manager will work closely with stakeholders and external agencies to translate business requirements into effective creative solutions and ensure quality across the entire delivery process.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience:

1. Design & Creative Delivery

• Lead and execute design across organizational communications, campaigns, presentations, digital assets, social content, events and other business-facing requirements.
• Remain hands-on as an individual contributor, taking ownership of key and high-priority projects from brief through to final delivery.
• Develop concepts and visual directions across static and motion/video formats, with a strong understanding of design principles, visual storytelling, and communication across mediums.
• Manage and mentor designers across static design, motion design and video editing, providing regular feedback and supporting their creative and professional development.
• Review work at key stages, helping designers strengthen their creative thinking, execution, and design judgement while maintaining quality across the team’s output.
• Manage priorities and workloads across multiple projects, ensuring the team has clarity on ownership, timelines, and expectations.

3. Brand, Stakeholders & Creative Quality

• Maintain a strong understanding of the organisation's brand guidelines and ensure consistent application across internal and external creative output, with a keen eye for detail and craft.
• Work closely with stakeholders and external agencies to understand briefs, establish creative direction, manage feedback, and ensure the final output meets both business and brand requirements.
• Own the quality-control process for work leaving the team, ensuring deliverables are accurate, well-resolved, and ready to be shared with senior stakeholders or agencies.

This may be the right role for you if you have:

• 8-10 years of relevant design experience, preferably with experience in a senior designer, design lead or management role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, visual craft, versatility and experience across static and motion/video design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a good working understanding of video/motion workflows, including After Effects.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, visual hierarchy, color, imagery, and brand systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative decisions to designers, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Experience managing and mentoring designers, with the ability to give clear, constructive and actionable feedback.
• Prompt writing and familiarity with generative AI tools for creative exploration and ideation would be an added advantage.
