Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a cybersecurity specialist in Chennai to install and manage network firewall products (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.), administer Windows AD/DNS/DHCP, and implement PKI concepts, WSS TLS, and OpenSSL.

You will develop security policies, gain hands-on AD CS experience, and work with IDS/IPS for real-time threat detection while managing virtualization environments like VMware and Hypervisor. The role also covers host-based security, backups, and user training.

Qualifications

• Experience with firewall installation and management (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Sophos, SonicWall).
• Experience with advanced Windows administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, RAS, WSUS, GPOs).
• Deep knowledge of PKI concepts, X.509, SSL/TLS, and OpenSSL.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures for compliance with standards.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, NCSC, ISO 27001, COBIT) and ICS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, PROFINET, PROFIBUS).
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing IDS/IPS for real-time threat detection and monitoring.
• Experience implementing and managing virtual environments including VMware and Microsoft Hypervisor.
• Experience implementing host-based security technologies (antivirus, DLP, Host IPS, Whitelisting, XDR, EDR, NDR).
• Experience implementing backup, NAS, SAN and restoration technologies (Symantec, VERITAS, ACRONIS, VEEAM).
• Experience in developing and delivering end-user training.
• Experience in developing, evaluating, implementing Security Policy and Procedures.

• Experience performing the installation and/or management of network-based firewall products (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Sophos, SonicWall etc)
• Experience with advanced Windows administration (e.g. AD, DNS, DHCP, RAS, WSUS, GPO’s)
• Deep knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts, X.509 certificates, SSL/TLS, and OpenSSL
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS)
• An understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks (e.g. NIST, NCSC, ISO 270001, COBIT) and ICs protocols (e.g. BACnet, Modbus, PROFINET, PROFIBUS)
• Hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and managing IDS/IPS solutions for real-time threat detection, prevention, and network security monitoring
• Experience implementing and managing virtual environments including performing network troubleshooting (VMware, Microsoft Hypervisor)
• Experience in implementing Host-based security technologies including end point protection technologies (e.g. Antivirus, Data Leakage Prevention, Host IPS, Whitelisting, XDR, EDR, NDR)
• Experience in implementing backup, NAS, SAN and restoration technologies (e.g. Symantec, VERITAS, ACRONIS, VEEAM)
• Experience in developing and delivering end user training
• Experience in developing, evaluating, implementing Security Policy and Procedures
