Job summary

Lucas TVS Limited seeks a Chartered Accountant with 15-18 years in finance operations and leadership to manage global financial reporting, policy design, and system compliance. The role requires expertise in IndAS, ICDS, tax laws, and SAP FICO, with a focus on driving improvements and ensuring robust financial controls.

The incumbent will lead consolidation, statutory reporting, and liaise with auditors and senior management from the Chennai area, working from the Padi office on a 6-day, on-site

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant; Company Secretary will be an advantage.
• 15-18 years of experience in finance operations and financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Complete understanding of financial reporting and consolidation processes.
• Expert level in IndAS, ICDS, Audit standards and Cost audit rules.
• Strong working knowledge of Direct and Indirect tax laws, Company law, FEMA and Secretarial standards.
• Experience with SAP FICO in a leadership role.
• Auto component industry experience preferred.
• Experience working with senior leaders and professional firms.
• Expertise in monitoring financial processes and identifying improvement areas.

Responsibilities

• Close the financial books of the Company and report timely results.
• Draft accounting policies to meet regulatory compliance.
• Design or modify accounting systems for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements for global entities.
• Publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Provide guidance for business decisions in line with statutes.
• Draft and review contracts; prepare briefs for opinions.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Operational Controller to review monthly results.
• Prepare MIS and performance reports for QBRs and Board meetings.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors to ensure zero observations.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.

Role & responsibilities

• Closing the financial books of the Company and reporting the results in a timely manner.
• Drafting the accounting policies in order to meet the regulatory and statutory compliance requirements
• Designing the accounting system or modifying it to be compliant with the regulations/statutes
• Preparation of the standalone and consolidated financial statements for entities globally.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Provide right guidance for taking business decisions keeping all applicable statutes in view.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts
• Preparing briefs for seeking professional opinions
• Working closely with the FP&A and Operational Controller to review monthly operating results and help drive business decisions
• Preparation/Support preparation of MIS and performance reports as key inputs to QBRs, Board meetings and other key analytical reports.
• Work with statutory and internal auditors closely and ensure fully compliant financial statements with zero observations
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant; Company Secretary will be an advantage.
• 15-18 years of experience in finance operations and financial reporting of which at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Complete Understanding of financial reporting, consolidation processes
• Knowledge and experience at an Expert level in IndAS, ICDS, Audit standards and Cost audit rules
• Strong working knowledge and hands on experience in Direct and Indirect tax laws, Company law, FEMA and Secretarial standards
• Should have strong working knowledge of SAP FICO
• Experience in Auto component Industry is preferred
• Should have experience in working with senior leaders, professional firms
• Expertise in monitoring overall functioning of financial processes, identifying improvement areas

Proficient in driving process improvements including automation and utilization of accounting software
