Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a seasoned Commodity Manager to lead sourcing strategies for Mechanical Fabrications and manage supplier relationships in India. The role requires deep procurement expertise, engineering document literacy, and international supplier management.

The successful candidate will drive RFQs, contract negotiations, and strategic plans across Collins’ Indian operations, with travel up to 35% and a focus on cost optimization and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• BE or MS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read drawings and engineering documents including SOWs.
• Experience with price analysis and supplier relationship management.
• Direct experience in procurement and international sourcing.
• Prior experience managing supplier relationships and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Mechanical Fabrications Commodity for Collins’ Indian operations.
• Manage sourcing from RFQ to contract signature.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for a commodity or supplier.
• Act as the liaison between Collins India regional team and Indian suppliers.
• Support negotiations and administration of supplier contracts.
• Analyze data to develop negotiation strategies and cost insights.
• Prepare negotiation workbooks for approval and negotiation execution.
• Attend internal/external meetings via Zoom and participate in calls.
• Occasionally travel up to 35% to support suppliers and sites.

Overview

The Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Mechanical Fabrications Commodity is seeking a Commodity Manager. The Commodity Manager, position is for an established professional in Supply Chain Management. You will work with limited supervision to achieve day-to-day objectives impacting supply chain strategies and operational goals

What You Will Do

• Supports the GSS, Mechanical Fabrications Commodity for different Collins’ Business Units
• Manage sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier.
• Act as point of contact between the Collins’ India Regional Team and India Suppliers.
• Support negotiations and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
• Analyze data and information associated with quotes and supplier cost data to develop negotiation strategies.
• Prepare Negotiation workbooks for approvals to negotiate on behalf of the company
• This individual can sit at any Collins Aerospace location in India
• Attend internal and external meetings using Zoom with the ability to be on camera.
• Support travel as needed (up to 35%).

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a BE/ Masters Degree and minimum 12+ years prior relevant experience
• Must have experience reading and understanding drawings, and other engineering documents including complex statements of work (SOWs)
• Prior Price Analysis experience
• Prior experience directly managing the relationship with suppliers
• Past Procurement experience
• International Procurement experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Commodity management and sourcing experience
• Prior experience with Collins’ work transfer process
• Experience using SAP APICS or ISM certifications
