Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru, India, is hiring a Procurement Professional to manage sourcing activities, support RFPs and supplier negotiations, and perform cost analysis with a focus on seamless order management and customer experience.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant experience in supply chain/procurement, preferably in manufacturing, and proficiency in SAP. Onsite work and compliance with export regulations are expected.

Qualifications

• BE/Master’s degree in a related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in supply chain/procurement, preferably manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Carries out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure smooth procurement.
• Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable prices.
• Prepares RFPs and bid packages to take on new accounts.
• Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or late deliveries.

Overview

Join Collins Aerospace as a Procurement Professional! We're looking for a procurement professional to manage sourcing activities, support RFPs and supplier negotiations, perform cost analysis, and ensure seamless order management while delivering an excellent customer experience.

What You Will Do

• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
• Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
• Prepares request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts.
• Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a BE/ Master’s Degree and minimum 7 to 10 years prior relevant experience in Supply chain /Procurement preferably manufacturing industry.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Understands Lean Principles
• Understands Contractual Terms and Conditions
• APICs or ISM certification a plus (CPIM, CPM, CSCP, CPSM)
• SAP user experience required
• A general understanding of Aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
• Experience developing supplier relationships
• Knowledge of export regulations and policies to ensure 100% export compliance
• Ability to communicate and present to higher levels of the organization
• Experience with data management, Excel, Power point
