Job summary

UKIBC UK India Business Council is seeking a Manager, Client Management & Student Recruitment Strategy to expand market presence and institutional engagement for UKIBC Launchpad clients across India. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree essential; Master's degree desirable.
  • 3–8 years' experience in higher education, international student recruitment, partnerships, outreach, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with international education organisations, universities, study abroad providers, or EdTech organisations is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience developing institutional partnerships and managing external stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian school and higher education ecosystem.

Scope of the Role

The Manager, Client Management & Student Recruitment Strategy will play a pivotal role in expanding the market presence and institutional engagement of UKIBC Launchpad clients across India. The role is responsible for developing and strengthening strategic relationships with schools, colleges, coaching organisations, education influencers, and other key stakeholders to support student recruitment objectives and enhance the visibility of UK higher education institutions.

Acting as the local representative for UKIBC Launchpad clients, the postholder will identify partnership opportunities, facilitate meaningful institutional collaborations, and deliver high-impact outreach initiatives that strengthen brand awareness and generate prospective student engagement. The role requires an individual who combines strong relationship-building skills with excellent execution capabilities and a deep understanding of the Indian education ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
1. Institutional Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, coaching centers, pathway providers, language institutes, and other education partners across assigned regions.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities that align with the strategic recruitment objectives of UKIBC Launchpad clients.
  • Build trusted relationships with school principals, counsellors, institutional leaders, and key decision-makers to facilitate long-term collaboration.
  • Develop structured engagement plans for partner institutions, aligned with academic calendars and recruitment cycles.
  • Represent UKIBC Launchpad and its university partners at institutional meetings, networking events, and education forums.
2. Outreach & Market Development
  • Plan and deliver school visits, college presentations, workshops, webinars, career guidance sessions, and student engagement activities.
  • Coordinate and support recruitment events, exhibitions, counsellor engagement programmes, and university visits.
  • Identify new opportunities for expanding institutional outreach within priority markets and emerging regions.
  • Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, and feedback from institutions to support client strategy and market planning.
3. Brand Visibility & Partnership Activation
  • Identify local branding and promotional opportunities that enhance the visibility of UKIBC Launchpad clients.
  • Work closely with university partners to execute locally relevant campaigns that strengthen institutional awareness and engagement.
  • Support the implementation of regional marketing initiatives that align with client objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent representation of client brands and UKIBC's quality standards across all outreach activities.
4. Collaboration, Reporting & Performance Management
  • Work collaboratively with UKIBC colleagues, university clients, and external partners to ensure seamless planning and delivery of recruitment activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of institutional engagement, partnership activities, events, and stakeholder interactions within the CRM system.
  • Monitor outreach performance against agreed KPIs, providing regular reports and recommendations to improve effectiveness.
  • Manage assigned budgets responsibly and evaluate the impact and return on investment of outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing market insights, best practices, and emerging partnership opportunities across the Launchpad team.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the confidence to represent UK universities before diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness combined with a consultative approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of the Indian education landscape and student recruitment ecosystem.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree is essential; a Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
  • 3–8 years' experience in higher education, international student recruitment, institutional partnerships, business development, outreach, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working with international education organisations, universities, study abroad providers, or EdTech organisations will be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing institutional partnerships and managing external stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian school and higher education ecosystem.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.
  • Familiarity with regional education markets and established professional networks will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and at least one regional language is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
