Title: Intern – International Operations (Manager Track), Overseas Education, Visa Services
Department: International Operations / Overseas Education Office
Reporting to: Office Manager London
Location: Hyderabad, India (with virtual coordination with London HQ)
- Support the setup and day-to-day operations of the Hyderabad office, with exposure to manager-level responsibilities in overseas education services.
- Assist in building processes for student counselling, admissions coordination, and partner university liaison between India and the London head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the India Hyderabad office, ensuring smooth running of student counselling, application processing, and partner coordination.
- Manage a team of counsellors/interns, including target setting, training, and performance monitoring to achieve student recruitment and conversion goals.
- Oversee the complete student journey: enquiry handling, counselling, course and university shortlisting, application submission, offer management, and pre-departure support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and other international universities, education partners, and aggregators; coordinate visits, webinars, and promotional events.
- Collaborate closely with the London head office on product updates, new university partnerships, compliance guidelines, and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure adherence to institutional and regulatory requirements (non-immigration advisory, documentation standards, ethical recruitment practices).
- Track and report KPIs such as enquiries, applications, offers, conversions, and revenue; present regular performance updates to senior management in London.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of SOPs, CRM usage, and reporting formats for the India operation.
- Represent the company at education fairs, school and college events, and other promotional activities across India when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Education Management, International Relations, or related field preferred.
- 1-2years of experience in overseas education, international student recruitment, or related higher education services, with at least 2–3 years in a team lead/managerial role.
- Strong understanding of UK higher education systems, admission processes, and typical requirements for Indian students (other destinations such as Canada, Australia, Europe are a plus).
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English, Telugu and Hindi; comfortable dealing with students, parents, and international stakeholders.
- Proven team management and leadership skills, including capability to mentor junior staff and build a performance-driven culture.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience using CRMs, Excel, and reporting tools to manage pipelines and performance.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment and to independently manage the India office in close alignment with the London head office.
- High ethical standards, customer orientation, and attention to detail in documentation and counselling.
