Job summary

DMart seeks a Manager Civil-Maintenance to oversee civil maintenance for stores across a dispersed area (10–15 stores). The role involves leading a vendor network, planning preventive maintenance, and ensuring quality in civil assets such as buildings, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling, painting, fabrication and glazing.

Regular store visits and budget preparation are essential. The incumbent will coordinate with stores to address defects, manage timelines, and maintain high standards of civil

Qualifications

• BE in Civil Engineering with good academic record.
• Experience 12+ years in Civil Maintenance & finishing in a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of Civil Masonry, Waterproofing, Painting, Fabrication, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain civil assets across the region (buildings, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling, painting, fabrication, glazing).
• Interact with store teams to identify defects and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely, quality work across multiple locations.
• Visit stores regularly to identify issues and plan preventive measures.
• Track resolution of issues and ensure zero leakages in stores through waterproofing and drainage work.
• Prepare estimates and budgets for minor works; ensure plumbing/washrooms are well-maintained.

Civil Maintenance Dept.

JOB TITLE : Manager Civil-Maintenance

Job DescriptionThe position is a regional position and will be responsible for Civil related maintenance of existing D Mart Facilities spread over a dispersed area of approx. (about 10 to 15 stores across various cities) through a team of vendors. An average store is approx. 40,000 Sft built up area with about 150-200 staff working in each store. The job would broadly entail:
Maintenance and Upkeep of Civil Assets in the region (Building / Plumbing / Waterproofing / Tiling / Painting / Fabrication / Glazing etc.).
Extensive engagement with the store team in case of reported defects to identify likely causes and suggest solutions to tackle the same.
Coordination with vendors to ensure timely completion of work with focus on quality. Quite often the interaction is to be done from a remote location, build rapport & relationship with vendors so as to ensure timely resolution of the breakdown.
Visit stores regularly to identify potential problem areas so as to address them in a planned manner.
Track and monitor resolution of issues reported by Stores.
Co-ordinate with stores to carryout various activities related to waterproofing, roof gutters, drainages, etc to have zero leakages in stores.
Preparation of estimate & budget for minor works.
Wash rooms, plumbing should be in good condition all the time

Academic Qualification Mandatory- BE in Civil Engineering category with a good academic record
