Job summary

Phoenix Mills is seeking an on-site Civil Engineer to manage the execution of civil activities at the project site, from excavation to finishing, coordinating with contractors, consultants and internal teams at Mohali, Punjab.

The ideal candidate has BE/BTech or Diploma in Civil Engineering, with 5-10 years of real estate on-site experience and strong knowledge of site coordination and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering as required.
• Experience in real estate construction sites, with on-site execution know-how.
• Ability to coordinate across contractors, consultants and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand finalized architectural drawings and resolve site queries with the Architect.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure timely quality checks.
• Conduct daily site inspections for adherence to drawings and deviations.
• Manage RCC work and coordinate with RCC and RMC contractors.
• Take measurements of civil structures as per drawings and ensure reinforcement.
• Monitor daily progress, quantify work, and monitor material quality.
• Maintain daily progress reports for all civil activities.

Overall Purpose/Objective

Of the job

Manages the execution of all Civil activities at the project site from site excavation, laying foundation, plinth, sub-structure, super structure to finishing in coordination with the various contractors, consultants and internal teams

Key Responsibilities

Understand the finalized architectural detailed drawings for the project and resolve issues/queries on the same from the Architect at site

Coordinate with the QA/ QC team to ensure that quality checks are undertaken in a timely manner

Undertake daily inspections to check adherence to the construction drawings, track deviations and highlight the same to the Architect at site

Manage the RCC work through coordination and follow-up with the RCC contractor and RMC contractor in a timely manner

Undertake the measurement of civil structures to check dimensions/ specifications as provide in the drawings and ensure reinforcement

Monitor the civil activities on a day-to –day basis to ensure the quality of work, quantum of work completed and quality of material utilized

Maintain the daily progress reports prepared by the Engineer for all civil work activities undertaken by the civil team

Monitor the costs/budget at every stage of the project execution and accelerate budget over-flows in a timely manner to the COO

Co-ordinate with vendors, consultants and architects.
