Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (Automotive and Farm Equipment Business) is seeking a CAE specialist to perform finite element modelling of vehicle components and systems. You will assign thickness and material properties and build FE assemblies, including spot and seam welds to reflect real connections.

You will apply loads and boundary conditions for linear and nonlinear static analyses, conduct modal, frequency response and transient analyses, and estimate fatigue life for vehicle structures.

Qualifications

• Experience with finite element modelling of vehicle components and systems.
• Ability to assign thickness and material properties to components.
• Knowledge of connections like spot and seam welding and how they affect FE models.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Experience

• Ability to postprocess results and prepare reports.
• Should know different tests for Vehicle systems and recommend design modifications to meet acceptance criteria based on analysis results.
• Good fundamentals - Strength of materials, Applied mechanics and Finite element methods
• Knowledge of different tests for Vehicle systems and test instrumentations.
• Correlation of CAE results with physical test results.
