Job summary

Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India is seeking a Project leader to head CAE activities for vehicle development programs, including planning, coordination and execution. You will drive digital simulation methods, analyze physical phenomena, and ensure capitalization of CAE techniques across programs.

The role requires 7 to 12 years of CAE experience in strength and durability, with exposure to vibration fatigue, road load data, and reliability analysis.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in CAE for vehicle structural analysis.
• Experience in Strength & Durability with fatigue analyses.
• Knowledge of vibration fatigue, seam weld fatigue, road load data acquisition, suspension kinematics.
• Strong fundamentals in physics and structural engineering.
• Experience with root cause analysis and proposing corrective actions.
• Experience in project management including scheduling, risk analysis, and contingency planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital CAE activities to achieve performance targets.
• Plan, coordinate and execute CAE tasks for vehicle programs.
• Develop and validate modelling and simulation methods.

• The Project leader is responsible to lead CAE activity for vehicle development programs including planning, coordination, and execution.
• Improve the understanding of physical phenomena and modelling parts and systems within his scope
• Ensure technological monitoring and carry out competitor analysis actions
• Define digital simulation methods and modelling and ensure their development
• Ensure capitalization of digital simulation methods

Job Purpose

• The Project leader is responsible to lead CAE activity for vehicle development programs including planning, coordination, and execution.
• Improve the understanding of physical phenomena and modelling parts and systems within his scope
• Ensure technological monitoring and carry out competitor analysis actions
• Define digital simulation methods and modelling and ensure their development
• Ensure capitalization of digital simulation methods

Responsibilities

• Responsible to lead the digital evaluation to achieve performances targets
• Conduct Periodic review and validate the R/C mechanism and C/M directions
• Responsible to report to stake holders to get agreement for C/M
• Adhere to Project management compliance
• Responsible to confirm the targets with customer performance team.
• Responsible to optimize & Cost & Mass CAE Targets.
• Analyze risk and initiate avoidance activities. Establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating

corrective action.

Relevant Experience

• Strong Experience in CAE analysis for Strength & Durability domain
• Exposure to Vibration Fatigue, Seam weld fatigue, Road load data acquisition, suspension kinematics, sub-system level strength cases
• Good knowledge of fundamental physics and structural engineering principles.
• Experience in making root cause analysis [Engineering analysis] & derive problem statements, propose counter measures or directions.
• Experience in project management [scheduling, executing, risk analysis, mitigation & contingency planning]
