Job summary

Adani Group seeks a Manager - C&I Construction for major thermal power plant projects in Korba, Madhya Pradesh. The role leads C&I construction from inception through commissioning, coordinating with engineering, procurement, commissioning teams and site stakeholders to drive safe, on-time delivery.

The candidate will oversee BTG and BOP packages, ensure quality and safety standards, and manage contractors and field personnel in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronics engineering.
• Total 12–15 years in C&I projects and commissioning.
• At least 2–3 years in thermal power plant projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead C&I construction activities for thermal power plant projects (BTG and BOP).
• Supervise installation, testing, calibration, loop checks, and commissioning support.
• Ensure schedules, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Purpose/Objective

Position: Manager - C&I Construction - Projects Location: Korba, Madhya Pradesh Purpose: Manager - C&I Construction - Projects will play a pivotal leadership role within Adani's Power/Energy division, steering large-scale civil construction projects from inception through commissioning. This position demands a seasoned professional adept at managing complex project environments, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery while aligning with Adani's core values of innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities of Role

• Lead and manage Construction activities related to Control & Instrumentation (C&I) systems for Thermal Power Plant Projects.
• Execute and supervise C&I construction activities for BTG (Boiler, Turbine & Generator) and BOP (Balance of Plant) packages.
• Monitor installation, erection, testing, calibration, loop checking, and commissioning support activities.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Contractors, and Site Teams for timely project execution.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, work procedures, and progress reports.
• Manage contractor performance, manpower deployment, material availability, and site execution challenges.
• Drive project progress and ensure achievement of construction milestones within budget and timelines.
• Key Skills & Expertise - Strong experience in C&I Construction of Thermal Power Plants.
• Hands-on exposure to BTG and BOP packages.
• Experience in Greenfield and Brownfield Power Plant Projects.
• Knowledge of field instruments, control systems, DCS, PLC, analyzers, cable laying, termination, and commissioning activities.
• Strong project execution, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple agencies and drive construction activities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Preferred Industry Thermal Power Generation Power EPC Energy & Infrastructure Projects.
• Desired Candidate Profile Proven experience in execution of large-scale thermal power projects.
• Strong understanding of C&I construction, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Non-Negotiable Technical Skills 1. Hands-on experience in C&I construction and installation for BTG and BOP packages of Thermal Power Plants.
• 2. Strong expertise in DCS/PLC systems, field instrumentation, junction boxes, marshalling panels, and control room integration.
• 3. Proven experience in cable laying, glanding, termination, tray routing, earthing, and instrument hook-up activities.
• 4. In-depth knowledge of loop checking, calibration, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of C&I systems.
• 5. Experience in execution of Greenfield and Brownfield Thermal Power Projects, including contractor management and project coordination.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualification: Full-time B. E. / B. Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation.
• Experience: Overall, 12-15 years of experience in C&I Projects and Commissioning, with at least 2-3 years of experience in thermal power plant projects.
